Eradicate Housing Poverty in Armenia with Fuller Center for Housing!
Mission
Fuller Center for Housing Armenia assists families in building and renovating safe, simple, comfortable homes, with and for low-income families in Armenia, by offering them long-term, interest free loans, as well as by advocating the right to decent shelter. How It Works Fuller Center Armenia provides long-term, interest-free loans to low-income families. Their monthly repayments flow into the Revolving Fund and are used to help more families, thereby providing the financial foundation for a sustainable community development effort. Types of Programs The construction programs of Fuller Center Armenia include but are not limited to the following: completion of half-built house, purchase of an affordable apartment, roof reconstruction, heating and sanitation system installation, interior renovation. Selection Process The selection of communities is made by the Family Selection Committee based on the housing need, repayment capacity and willingness to partner with the organization Where We Build Fuller Center for Housing Armenia plans to work in all regions of Armenia. Currently, the organization is starting construction of 25 half-built in Khor Virap, Ararat region, Lusaghbyur, Shirak region, Khachik, Vayots Dzor region, and Vanadzor, Tashir, Gargar, Lermontovo, Margahovit, Lori region. Donors and Volunteers To accomplish its mission, Fuller Center Armenia is garnering volunteer and financial support from individuals, organizations, corporate partners and churches. International and local volunteers come together to work shoulder to shoulder with the families and help decrease the construction costs. Global Builders Program Volunteerism and mutual help are key concepts in the work of Fuller Center for Housing. The local community and groups of international volunteers, act as an active supporter to our homeowners building their houses. The construction sites, where the international volunteers and locals build shoulder to shoulder, with the spirit of friendship and unity, sharing the same enthusiasm and emotions, become a non-formal platform of interaction between the guests and the local community. This program helps strengthen the cultural and spiritual bridge between the local and international communities, demonstrating the love of Christ in action.
